A month of November packed with events
The month of November was punctuated by events for the benefit of the non-profit organization. A first screening of Thierry Michel’s film “The man who mends women” took place in Brussels, in collaboration with the WHALLL and the municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre. This was followed by a beautiful concert organized by Gospel For Life in Verviers, where choristers and spectators gathered to sing and dance for a common cause: The Children of Panzi and elsewhere. Finally, a second screening identical to the first was organized in Liege in collaboration with the University of Liege.
We would like to thank all those who participated in the setting up of these events. This allowed us to make our actions known around us and to reach a large public. All profits were entirely donated to the non-profit organization and its program in the DRC.

Year-end preparations are underway
The end of the year is already beginning to make itself felt. The last therapeutic playgrounds of the year 2022 are being prepared and the local team is working hard to organize an adequate program. The mothers who have set up an income-generating activity will share their experience and skills with the other mothers of the children in the program as well as with the mothers in the community. The academic success of the children will also be rewarded and set as an example. The end of the year is gently prepared before a well-deserved break for everyone and a great start to the year 2023.
Growing tensions in eastern DRC
The political context in eastern DRC is increasingly unstable. Conflicts between M23 rebels and militias have resumed with increasing intensity, to the detriment of the population. On November 29 and 30, in Rutshuru territory, 131 civilians were killed “during acts of reprisal against the civilian population. The victims were arbitrarily executed with bullets or bladed weapons,” Monusco said. “Eight people were also shot and 60 others abducted. At least 22 women and five girls were raped.”
This climate of tension urges us to strengthen our actions on the field for an unfortunately increasing number of victims. More than ever, your contribution is essential in order to continue our holistic program of psychosocial support, socio-economic support and educational support for our beneficiaries. It allows us to guide these vulnerable children and mothers towards reconstruction and a possible life project within their community, and ultimately become actors of peace.
All contributions over 40 euros made in Belgium, over 120 euros in Luxemburg and under 1,000 euros in France are fiscally deductible on the basis of a certificate which will be sent to you at the start of the following year.
